| Users review: The original Godfather is a big deal. It is the purpose of voyeuristic pleasure, allowing us to see inside the Mafia - become part of the family. Changed to one of organized crime world, and created a series of cute characters, none of which have a shred of common morality. This is the highest grossing film of its time and Brando created a cultural icon whose influence resonates as strongly today as it did in 1972.As remarkable achievement as it is, Part II is even better. My head is easy to accept as the best film ever made. I've seen it at least 20 times, and each time one of its 200 minutes by.The film uses flashbacks to brilliantly weaves two stories. The main story of the reign of Michael Corleone as the most powerful criminal in the world. Now reaping the benefits of legalized gambling in Las Vegas, Michael is obviously a billionaire with an iron fist in treason world. Beyond that, the director Francis Ford Coppola spins a growth story Michaels father, Vito, in the heart of New York Mafia. It is these scenes that make the film work of art. Without spoiling, I'll just say Robert De Niro as the young Vito is good quality performance of all time, a role for which he received a richly deserved Oscar.The scenario is full of tasty little nuggets ground (Keep your friends close. I .... I do not kill anyone, just my enemies), while a breath, thick twisted plot next to you at a dizzying pace and relentless. Cinematography depressing and atmospheric. Continuous evaluation of the role of ghostly predecessor, heralding death and evil.All make great film and very easy to follow. But how much is their depth in this film ... what is really about ... genius.The that his true Godfather Part II is not really a movie about the mafia, is a film about man's life long battle. Michael controlled a vast empire that is constantly slipping out of hand. He grows increasingly suspicious and paranoid, and even signs that he hates his life. Michael almost as if they resent the fact that he was born crime lord, the man who put the family business on the eve of the great Don Michael Corleone everything.The not be reconciled with a simple ....
