| Users review: Saw Jack Reacher Monday night at the pre-screening. Here's some of my thoughts. It is spoilers.First far, Id say I agree with the general critical reception: 4/5 stars. To me, it means that the solid film, which produces the highest peak of its kind. Jack Reacher is not trying to be anything revolutionary, it kind of action thriller audiences havent seen in a while is not Mission Impossible, or even James Bond. Writer / director Christopher McQuarrie take inspiration from action films such as the late 60s/early 70 Dirty Harry (which was the name of a couple of reviews already checked), Bullitt (car chase), and maybe another Don Siegel film, Charley Varrick. For the more adventurous, this is not coming from the top of the stunts and huge explosions. As action movies just referred to, you can tremble watch a distinctive character to make fun of, the beat and beat bad guys.Which brings me to the character of Jack Reacher and the casting of Tom Cruise. In a series of novels by Lee Child, this film is based on, Jack Reacher is a former Member of Parliament detective. After a lifetime spent in military bases abroad, a drifter living in the United States that comply with the commitments of life to zero: No house, no job, no car, no property, no family. Oh, and he stands 65 and weighs 250 lbs.Clearly Tom Cruise does not match the physical characteristics. What makes the reacher such a great character Childs books, but there is much less to do with his appearance, as it does with his intellect. If you've read the series like me, its a bit strange at first. As the movie played, however, I have gotten more lax and more into it. It was definitely the hero of the film Lee Childs Jack Reacher, the physical differences can be damned.Would I'd rather unknown actor next to the description Childs play jaws on the screen? Yes, of course. But I could say that about almost every character, and often does. I usually do not want to mysteries everything.Which is where Cruises casting is a handy little. His casting some kind of guarantee a certain amount at the box office, it means filmmakers can take more risks. Because crafting action film thats more character and the occasional graphic violence and a bit of mindless action and impossible nonsense.JACK the reacher was very satisfying action thriller to me. I felt it stick to what I like Lee Childs Jack Reacher excitement and, in particular. Id definitely recommend it, and I'm going to watch it in the theater again. That's for damn sure. |
