| Users review: I'm a fool to William Shakespeare, but I like it better work in the theater. This, however, kept my attention and seemed to do a great job of modernizing family feud thing. The film begins with a street brawl between Capulets and Montegues. Prince warns them that if they ever again disturb the peace will pay for the loss of their lives to peace. Then we met the character Romeo, starring Leonardo DeCaprio. Leo does a great job as Romeo, but because Leo is a good actor in this movie. Shortly after we met Julia, played by the lovely Claire Danes, no ports have seen too many movies. Danes does a great job playing flirty Julia. The film follows the original manuscript with great precision. Symbolism is also used very well throughout the film. If you look at the guns you will notice that some say swords, some say Rapier, and I think some say dagger. In Montegues always wear a Hawaiian shirt style. Capulets more cloth like a bully or bullies, even though both parties can be held in a sort of robbers. In both cases, each family carries certain types of clothing, making it easy to tell who is who. A large part I absolutely love having fun. Juliet wear angel wings and Romeo Knight wears clothes. Romeo's best friend (and I wish I could write his name, but Id rather not slaughter) dresses up as a woman. So to explain this kind of symbolism for those who arent all that, his Romeo knight in shining armor, Julie Angel dreams of Romeo and Romeo's best friend's Comic Relief. There's one thing you'll notice at the party too, as Tybalt wearing devil horns (that hes a villain). Both families'll also notice the rich, which also follows the script exactly. All in all, if you're a fan of Shakespeare, a fan of romantic movies, movie buff, or a fan of tragic art films so be sure to look into this. It will sweep you off your feet, make you laugh, to cry and fall in love. |
