| Users review: As a Cineworld card holder, I was invited to a screening last night of Ron Howard new film Rush.Before I started ... I'm not a fan of F1, but I know enough to appreciate the history of the main protagonists of the film. The main set pieces of the film established one year before I was born in 1976, so my knowledge is based mainly on my fathers memory of the events. Id saw James Hunt in interviews and just watched images Niki Lauda such idea characters.The film is bang on period, as car and gives an excellent tone, photography is nothing short of its own, breathtaking and FX is very much in keeping with the period of time, CGI. The did not act ridiculous, the whole is nothing missing miraculous, Hemsworth and Bruhl is fantastic, especially Hemsworth, who is an accent, gestures and natural performance was a surprise. I could see several awards for this role. I have seen in quite a few films Bruhl and I always so impressed simply continues the trend. All supporting actors are very good, less than roles.The film is well paced for 2 hours and quite graphic, especially some accident scenes.Direction: Ron Howard - jobs nice, I am not a massive fan and especially after Da Vinci / Angels great return failure decent shape. Flair was there, but he played safe (normal), but let the story and the actors take center stage.If you would like in F1 history, well documented rivalry and movie capture it, watch it. It is similar with excellent control, Moneyball, etc., but with a bit heart.8 half of the 10 |
